Mornings in Vermont are precious times. When I open the french doors onto the green belt and feel the sea breeze, I am filled with gratitude. The pheasants have discovered this newest restaurant and arrive in quick succession for their rice and bread crumbs. Some days they are less than happy with my offerings but they are always prepared to sample them before sauntering off. I love to watch them and the numerous little birds clambering over their breakfast. I have had the more adventurous birds coming into the house. "Meerkats", Guinea fowls and porcupines are our neighbours. The sea and the mountains surround us. The Lord is ever present and His creation sings His praises. "The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance" Psalm 16:6.
